What are the side effects of Cerebrolysin?
The most commonly reported Cerebrolysin side effects are injection-site irritation (volume is large for IM), mild fatigue early, rare: allergic reaction (porcine origin). Most are mild and tend to be dose dependent. It is generally avoided with porcine allergy. Human clinical evidence for Cerebrolysin is limited, so this reflects reported and observed effects, not a complete safety profile.
Reported Cerebrolysin side effects
- Injection-site irritation (volume is large for IM)
- Mild fatigue early
- Rare: allergic reaction (porcine origin)
Who should avoid it
- Porcine allergy
- Active seizure disorder (theoretical, monitored in trials)
- Pregnancy / nursing
