What is the half-life of Pramlintide (Symlin)?
Pramlintide (Symlin) has a reported half life of ~50 minutes, given subcutaneous, before meals. That is why it is typically dosed pre-meal injection (multiple times daily). A shorter half life means more frequent dosing to keep blood levels steady, a longer one lets you space doses further apart.
