What should I check before my first peptide injection?
Before a first injection, verify the vial label, the reconstitution math, the syringe units, the route, the vial appearance, and basic clean handling. Most beginner mistakes happen before the needle ever touches skin.
Label and math
- Confirm the vial mg and compound name.
- Confirm how much BAC water was added.
- Confirm the dose unit is mcg or mg.
- Confirm the syringe unit number with the calculator.
Vial and supplies
- Look for cloudiness, particles, odd color, or seal damage.
- Use a sterile syringe and new alcohol pad.
- Do not reuse needles.
- Have a sharps container ready.
Route
Make sure the compound page says the route you plan to use. Sub-q, IM, nasal, oral, and topical are not interchangeable.
